James (Jim) McKinney

James “Jim” Neal McKinney, age 72, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026 under hospice care in Baytown, Texas. He was born on September 26, 1953 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. He found great pride in his career as a high school Auto Mechanics teacher, where he was able to share his love of cars and hands-on work with students. Teaching allowed him to combine his mechanical knowledge with his natural ability to connect with people.

Jim was also proud of his involvement with the Arabia Shrine Center, masonic lodge and other organizations that were meaningful parts of his life. He joined the Free Masons Riding Club on 01/30/2007.
